Unit shows signs of normal use and wear consistent with prior service. Tires have good tread but are old and should be replaced (tire date codes indicate 2012 and 2014).

Vehicles and equipment may be inspected by appointment only; however, no test drives are permitted. It is the bidder’s responsibility to determine condition and roadworthiness prior to use.

Payment is due within 7 days of auction close. Item must be picked up within 14 days of auction close, or buyer may forfeit item and payment.

Nevada County employees shall not, either directly or indirectly, participate in the purchase of surplus property if the employee is responsible for surplus declarations, acceptance of offers, or is assigned to the surplus program within the Procurement Division. Members of the Board, the County Executive Officer, and County Counsel are likewise prohibited from participation. Fleet Services Division employees are also excluded from participation in the purchase of surplus County vehicles.

California Air Resources Board regulations govern emissions requirements for fleet vehicles operated in California. Emergency vehicles are exempt when used in such capacity.

Nevada County does NOT provide SMOG CERTIFICATION or EMISSIONS RETROFIT.

All smog-related repairs and certification requirements are the sole responsibility of the buyer in accordance with California Vehicle Code, Division 12, Section 24007.5.

An on-road heavy-duty diesel or alternative-diesel vehicle operated in California may be subject to California Air Resources Board regulations regarding emissions reduction requirements, including retrofit or accelerated replacement standards. Inspection of Vehicles by appointment only on Wednesdays from 8 am to 4 pm. Inspection of Non-Vehicle items by appointment only on Thursdays 9:00 am until noon. Vehicle pick-up REQUIRE AN APPOINTMENT (Pick up is Thursdays from noon until 4:00 pm). Non-vehicle auctions REQUIRE AN APPOINTMENT (Thursdays 9:00 am until noon).


Nevada County may require a bid deposit to ensure fairness to all buyers.

PayMac handles all payments for Nevada County.

Acceptable forms of payment are: Wire Transfer or Credit Card.
NO CASH, CHECKS, OR MONEY ORDERS WILL BE ACCEPTED!

Payment for an awarded item must be received within five (5) business days after notice of award.


Nevada County will charge the applicable sales tax. The tax rate will be calculated at the time of bidding. When sales tax is included, the buyer shall add and include the sales tax amount when making payment.

A Buyers Premium of 10.5% will be added to the final sale price with a $1 minimum charge per auction for payment collections.

All sales are final. Public Surplus will notify buyer of receipt of payment via email.

The successful bidder will be responsible for removal or pick-up of item(s) from the agency's premises. Removal must occur within ten (10) business days after notification of award of the winning bid. The notice of award, the payment receipt, and personal identification must be presented at the time of pick-up, or Nevada County will not release the item to you.
