Condition

This is an older, heavily used fleet truck and shows substantial cosmetic wear consistent with its age and previous work use.

The exterior has scratches, scuffs, faded and cracked striping/graphics, paint deterioration, surface rust, dirt, staining, and general weathering.

Damage is visible to the hood/fender areas around the headlights. Cracking and separation of the hood material can be seen around the headlamp areas, particularly at the corners. Additional cracks, chips, and deterioration may be present.

The frame, fifth-wheel area, suspension components, rear chassis, wheels, and related equipment show dirt, surface corrosion, worn paint, grease, and normal heavy-truck service wear. The fifth wheel shows significant grease and wear consistent with use.

The cab interior shows normal commercial fleet use, including dirt, dust, worn surfaces, and cosmetic wear. Seats, dashboard, controls, flooring, and interior trim show age-related wear.

Tires have remaining tread as shown in the photographs; however, no guarantee is made regarding remaining tire life, age, or roadworthiness.

The odometer displayed approximately 218,838 miles when photographed.

Inspection / Disclaimer

This is a used 1999 heavy-duty truck tractor and should be expected to have wear, leaks, corrosion, worn components, electrical issues, air-system issues, hydraulic-system issues, and/or other mechanical or cosmetic deficiencies associated with its age and previous commercial use.

The photographs are considered part of the description. Prospective bidders are strongly encouraged to inspect the truck in person prior to bidding and verify the operation and condition of the engine, transmission, clutch, brakes, air system, axles, fifth wheel, PTO, hydraulic pump, hydraulic reservoir, couplers, tires, electrical system, and all other components.

No comprehensive mechanical inspection or reconditioning has been performed specifically for this sale.

Payment for an awarded item must be received within five (5) business days after notice of award.

Metropolitan Utilities District will charge a sales tax of 7%. The tax rate will be calculated at the time of bidding. When sales tax is included, the buyer shall add and include the sales tax amount when making payment.

A Buyers Premium will be added to the final sale price with a $1 minimum charge per auction for payment collections. This premium if applicable will be visible during the bidding process and added to the total bid.

All sales are final. Public Surplus will notify buyer of receipt of payment via email.

The successful bidder will be responsible for pick-up of item(s) from the agency's premises. Pick-up must occur within ten (10) business days after notification of award. The notice of award, payment receipt, and personal identification must be presented at time of pick-up, or the item will not be released.
