  • Sale of all surplus property is "As is" and "Where-is," without warranty. Albert Lea Schools will offer to ensure vehicle starts, but no other services. The successful bidder shall bear all costs for weighing, packaging, crating, loading, and hauling, unless otherwise specified.

  • We will be enforcing a 14 day pick-up policy. Winning equipment shall be picked up within 14 days of auction end. Winning bidder must schedule an appointment with kevin.peek@alschools.org to schedule pick-up. Please provide 24 hour notice and plan for pick-up during regular business hours.

  • AUCTIONS WILL NOT BE RELEASED WITHOUT AN APPOINTMENT.

  • PICKUP LOCATION FOR THIS AUCTION will be sent when appointment is scheduled.

PayMac, handles all payments for Albert Lea Area Schools.

Acceptable forms of payment are: Wire Transfer or Credit Card.

Payment for an awarded item must be received within five (5) business days after notice of award.


Albert Lea Area Schools will charge a sales tax of 7.875%. The tax rate will be calculated at the time of bidding.

A Buyers Premium of 10.5% will be added to the final sale price with a $1 minimum charge per auction for payment collections.

All sales are final. Public Surplus will notify buyer of receipt of payment via email.

The successful bidder will be responsible for pick-up of item(s) from the agency's premises. Pick-up must occur within ten (10) business days after notification of award. The notice of award, payment receipt, and personal identification must be presented at time of pick-up, or the item will not be released.
